Why is TFK not on any of these lists?
Hey everyone for the most part didn't pay attention to what I said at first? NO death metal, goth, speed metal growling gutteral vocals Is Not what I want to play on my instrument, nor listen too. Ok before I was s Christian, I loved, and played, originals, but also bands like some of my favorites are Rob Halford, with Judas Priest, Fight, and Halford, as well as, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Skid Row, Guns n Roses, Dio, Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Stained, Dokken, Accept, Hendrix, Alice n Chains, and the like, now, that's Heavy Metal, but where are the Christian bands with this type of Sound, but real Christian God Rock? IJS
What the heck , this is not hard rock...This is death metal / speed metal .... I have been playing hard rock / heavy metal for years ... And this is not it ....

Some people really need to research their band choices for "Christian" bands... cause As i Lay Dying isnt one of them. Do some research on them and their interviews and some bands lyrics. The lead singer os AILD was actually an atheist

####This list was ok..##### but um, i have a problem. i really don't wanna insult anyone...SRY guys I'm not really in to this gutturalnoise ( just my opinion sry ) fast paced triple base metal... i don't get it i never have and to me every band sounds the same. thats just what i hear. BUT, hears the thing, I'm hear BECAUSE... i can not find anything i like let me explain... I'm more in to numetal, rapcore, and some metal core(not the only thing i like just what i prefer)... i want that chunky thick bass grunge 90's 2000's sound like korn, deftones, early staind, and early disturbed. and if anyone comments yea i already know the big christian names like thousand foot crutch, skillet, red, decyfer down, head, love and death, manifest, pod, the letter black, we as human... PLEASE tell me there is a more well know metal connoisseur like myself who is a fan of everything and numetal that can help me out ugh...

OK I'm looking for God Rock bands, but not Goth Rock. Christian hard rock but not speed metal, 20 years ago maybe. Neither do I want Traditional church music, but I do want to play in churches and Petra is not modern enough. lol Any suggestions?
I really enjoy Thousand Foot Krutch. They are open about their Christianity and keep the nice rock feel. They keep a 90's rock or early 2k rock style to them. They also include rap and some EDM in some albums. Personally it's one of my favorite bands. Disciple is also good, they are more metal but their later music is somewhat softer and they have soft songs. Decyfer Down is amazing, especially their album Crash. 12 Stones is a great rock band, Red is also amazing. I know Red featured here but they have softer songs then the one this video played. Flyleaf has a unique voice and their songs are not traditional at all, they pick different topics and sing from unique perspectives then most christian artist. However, you can really tell she has that relationship with God that is necessary in Christian rock music that uses controversial topics. Her songs remind me of David and the psalms because she cries out in pain but gives it all to God in the end. If none of that suits your taste then maybe House of Heroes, they aren't as openly christian in all their songs but they hint at it, in other songs they are very open like in God Save the Foolish Kings and By Your Side. They have more of an Indie Rock style. Manafest has some good songs, I love Impossible and No Plan B by them. Seventh Day Slumber is now more traditional gospel worship music (which there is nothing wrong with) but for more of their rock music look at their album Awake, it might be a little too metal though. Other might be Day of Fire, Pillar, and Kutless.
Pillar, kutless, and Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlon, and Jeremy Camp is about What I'm able to pull off in Church's. Thousand foot krutch I can dig, but can I get away with it in your average churches? Give me some more Ideas please? YHVH bless you.
Lynard Brock Is this for a church? I guess it really matters the denomination and type of people in the church, I know churches who openly play hardcore metal and others that are repulsed by it. I honestly believe you can pull of Thousand Foot Krutch at a church with songs from their albums The Flame In All of Us or The End Is Where We Begin. I suggest Toby Mac's album Renovating Diverse City. It's not hardcore, it's openly christian and has some deep concepts woven into the lyrics, it has unique style, and it delves into other genres rather than solely rock. His album Portable Sounds is also this way. I would also try Fireflight. I honestly am in love with that band except after some time I realized the majority of their music was very repetitive. Again, I really suggest Decyfer Down for a church worship jam. Their music has a worshiping spirit to it but is far from traditional gospel in style. Starfield's song My Generation is great for worship. Another amazing band with a unique rock feel is Manic Drive. I personally like their album Reset and Rewind, the album cover may throw you off because it is a little bizarre but I can guarantee their music is great for worship. Their songs LOVE, The End, Dance Floor, Eleven Regrets and Blue always put me in the right mood. Their older album has some amazing songs but it is more hardcore rock/ soft metal and their newer albums have more of a modern pop feel. Lastly, I suggest Urban Rescue, their song Wildfire is phenomenal, really all their music is beautiful but it is most certainly not rock. Wildfire is about as hardcore as you will get.
Yes we are hoping to play in and out of Churches, we want to use our musical instruments and talents to reach a much needed audience, younger people, but there are some older people in all the churches that might not be open to the music and even say its not appropriate music to play in their churches etc... As I lay dying started off as a Christian band. Since then though, they have all become atheists, but pretended to be a Christian band because that is how they got better publicity.

I love hard rock music, but I fucking hate christians and just all people who say only their own belevings are right. All wars and torturing came because of christians, muslims, jews and so on! They get brainwashed by their parents and they brainwash their own children as well. Even if someone comes up and perfectly invalidates their idea's about their belevings they still won't consider even thinking about something else!
